Computacenter confirms project rebound and we opine on mobile M&A
Interim results from Computacenter released this morning clearly underline our view that, after two years in the doldrums, project related IT spending has recovered strongly this year. Increased project spending underpins a much improved performance from Computacenter in the first half to June with group revenues up 5.4% to £1.29bn and adjusted pre-tax profits ahead 16.6% to £21.3m. Whilst contractual services continued to show solid growth at 4.6%, underlying product revenues increased nearly 15%. Mobile Weekly - More mobile-related M&A and Google VOIP could kickstart mVOIP
This week’s Mobile Weekly comments on an unseasonal spate of strategic mobile-related M&A by Google, RIM and Motorola as well as the launch of Google VOIP for PCs. Tessella revenues slip as customers remain cautious
Tessella, a privately owned technology and IT services player has just released its results for the year to March 2010. It is clear from the figures that, after seeming to ride out the storm in the previous year, 2010 was impacted adversely by the global economic downturn.
