Hosting and Fixed Line Annual Review 2011
This report reviews the past year for the megabuyte Hosting and Fixed Line peer group, a year characterised by a reasonable financial performance, with clear hotspots (eg data centres and hosting) and not so hotspots (eg large network operators), a 20% share price outperformance, and significant private-equity driven M&A. The peer group comprises 61 companies (45 private, 16 public), ranging from the major fixed line network owners (eg BT, Virgin, Cable & Wireless), through specialist network operators (eg Geo Networks, SSE Telecoms), data centre owners and hosting providers (eg Telecity, Iomart and Control Circle), to B2B resellers, ISPs and managed service providers (eg Daisy, Alternative Networks, XLN, MDNX).
