Business Management Software Quarterly Review
In line with a very tough market, the share prices of Business Management Software companies have had a pretty rough ride over the last few weeks. The average share price decline for the Megabuyte Business Management Software peer group was nearly 11% over the last month having been broadly flat over the preceding two months. In line with the tougher environment for share prices, valuations have also come under pressure in the last few weeks. That average current year PE ratio for the Business Management Software peer group was on a sharply rising trend through the early summer but all of this gain has now been reversed. Despite the weaker share price and valuation environment, M&A activty in the business management software space remains highly active, not least with the recent bid for Autonomy by HP.
