Megabuyte Quarterly Review - SaaS Strategies 2011
The Megabuyte Quarterly Review presentation has two main aims. First, we review the key share price, valuation and M&A trends within the UK IT & Telecoms sector over the last three months and examine patterns in the data in order to understand future trends.
Secondly, each quarter, the presentation focuses on one particular topic of interest to the audience. For our focus topic this quarter, we will revisit and update the SaaS Strategies research we started last year (Forum members can review a copy of the report here).
The absorption of SaaS and Cloud services into the collective consciousness of vendors and purchasers alike has been palpable over the last year. However, software companies are having to perform a constant balancing act in order to capture the growth opportunity presented by SaaS whilst, at the same time, deliver strong financial performance.
In order to assess the latest trends in SaaS we are conducting a survey again this year to seek the opinions of approximatesly 200 CEOs, CFOs and senior directors working in around 100 of the UK’s leading software companies. At the event, Megabuyte principal software analyst Ian Spence will kick off the discussion by providing a summary of the findings and his conclusions from the survey.
Following Ian’s presentation, delegates will hear from, and also have a chance to ask questions of, a panel of four leading CEOs who have been specially selected to provide a range of views as all are approaching SaaS from a slightly different starting point.
