The Megabuyte Quarterly Review presentation has two main aims. First, we review the key share price, valuation and M&A trends within the UK IT & Telecoms sector over the last three months. More importantly, we examine the patterns in the data in order to try to establish future trends.

Secondly, each quarter, the presentation focuses on one particular topic of interest to the audience. Our topic for this event is the rapid growth in smartphones in both consumer and business/workforce environments and the potential winners and losers from this trend among network operators, handset manufacturers, mobile content and service providers, and mobile network equipment vendors.

Megabuyte principal analyst Philip Carse will give his views on this complex topic, focussing particularly on the challenges and opportunities that this presents for the multitude of smaller UK-based mobile-focussed tech companies, and the ability to generate a return in an industry dominated by large strategics.
