M&A in the Fintech sector is back; but is it here to stay?
In the period following the September 2008 collapse of Lehman Brothers, M&A activity amongst UK based Fintech companies fell to an historic low as business confidence, investor sentiment and sources of capital dried up. However, over the last 12 months, as investor sentiment has improved, M&A activity has also increased markedly. In the Megabuyte Banking & Insurance Software annual review, in addition to a review of share price performance, valuations and corporate activity in this part of the market over the last year, we will examine the key M&A themes in this important part of the UK technology sector.
The second annual Banking & Insurance Software CEO roundtable dinner, which is hosted by finnCap, will bring together leading CEOs and investors in UK based banking & insurance software companies to debate this topic. To kick off the discussion, Megabuyte principal analyst Ian Spence will summarise the report findings. In doing so, Ian will aim to explain the drivers behind resurgent M&A activity, analyse trends in exit multiples, understand the main M&A hotspots within the Fintech sector and extrapolate this analysis to establish future trends. As with all Megabuyte Forum events, the dinner is supported by our sponsors and is free to invited guests.
This event is invitation only.
