What is Megabuyte Forum?

The Megabuyte Forum is a networking group for company directors and investors in the technology sector. Under the banner of the Megabuyte Forum, we run a series of events each year with two main aims. First, to help members gain greater insight into key industry trends, valuations and the M&A environment in area of the sector which is of interest to them. Secondly, to enable members to network and make new contacts amongst their peers in the industry.

Event types

Megabuyte Quarterly Review

Our quarterly sector review presentations form the cornerstone of the Forum event programme and are open to all Forum members. There are two key reasons for members to attend these events. First, attendees will hear a 30 minute presentation on the state of the technology sector from Megabuyte’s two principal analysts; Ian Spence and Philip Carse. Attendees will also be given a hard copy of the presentation which contains invaluable statistics on the sector. Secondly, these events are an excellent opportunity to network with your peers in the sector.

CEO Roundtables

These invitation only events are usually focussed around a key topic of interest to CEOs and investors within one of our 12 peer groups. Formats and speakers vary but the guest list is always kept small so as to maximise the interaction between guests.

Workshops

Workshop events are designed to help members better understand a particular element of the investment, M&A or capital markets process. Examples could include a talk on the opportunities and pitfalls of putting a company through an IPO. Depending on the subject matter, these events can either be open to all members or by invitation.
