What is Megabuyte Forum?

The Megabuyte Forum is a networking group for senior directors and investors in the technology sector. Megabuyte Forum is supported by sponsorship and is therefore free to members.

Founded in 2009, the Megabuyte Forum has two main aims; first to help members gain greater insight into key industry trends, valuations and the M&A environment in the area of the sector which is of interest to them and secondly, to enable members to network and make new contacts amongst their peers in the industry.

We seek to achieve these aims with high level networking events and dedicated research programmes.

Forum Events

Megabuyte Quarterly Review

Our quarterly sector review presentations form the cornerstone of the Forum event programme and are open to all Forum members. At these events, which are typically attended by up to 50 leading directors and investors in the sector, Megabuyte’s two principal analysts Ian Spence and Philip Carse provide a 30 minute presentation on the state of the technology sector as well as a focus on one area of interest. Importantly, these events are also regarded as one of the sector's leading networking opportunities for CEOs, CFOs and non-executive directors.

CEO Roundtable dinners

These invitation only events are usually focussed around a key topic of interest to CEOs and investors within one of our 8 peer groups. Formats and speakers vary but the guest list is always kept small so as to maximise the interaction between guests. Discussion at these events is always lively!

We publish an annual review of each peer group in conjunction with the annual CEO roundtable dinner and, in addition, publish either quarterly or monthly updates for each peer group.

Survey based research 

With over 500 members, the Megabuyte Forum is an invaluable source of information and opinion on current trends in the sector. As such, we conduct survey based research to seek the views of either a particular group of members or the entire membership to understand their views on a particular topic. These topics could cover such areas as technology trends, the trading outlook or attitudes to M&A.
